Magic Mike & Sara end their fabulous year together in style. Taking his 30th CC, 31st group win, and 14TH BEST IN SHOW at the final Championship Show of the year, Ladies Kennel Association.
He ends the year as Top PBGV, Top Hound, and TOP DOG 2018, as well as being the MOST SUCCESSFUL HOUND OF ALL TIME!
His half-sister Soletrader Party in Paris wins Best Puppy in Breed too at her first general Championship Show!
Meanwhile over in Finland, Multi Ch Soletrader Just Jazz and Kristina end their weekend with BIS-4 at the Finnish Winners show!

2018 BREED CLUB SHOW - MAKING RECORDS AND MEMORIES
Our annual breed club show seems to be a lucky one for Magic Mike!
He takes over his mother and grandmother and becomes the NEW BREED RECORD HOLDER with a whopping 29 CC's! He remained unbeaten throughout the day and finished off with BIS - a repeat of 2017!!
His daughter, Soletrader Judigarland, at 7 months of age beats all her young kennel mates for the RCC and Best Puppy Bitch. Her half brother, Switherland Aldia Casanova, bred and owned by Phil Freer and Marita Rodgers and sired by Magic Mike takes BPIB.

TWO NORTHERN WINS
The first Northern weekend took Magic Mike to his 28th CC - now EQUALLING the record with both his mother Jilly, and grandmother, Dizzy! He then went on to win his 29th hound group under Stuart Milner to celebrate, whilst in the puppy ring, his daughter Beatrix takes another Best Puppy and a Puppy Group 3. She is currently standing Top PBGV Puppy 2018, whilst her father is the current Top Dog All Breeds 2018, with not too many shows left to go!
The following weekend, Ireland's current Top Dog All Breeds, Buddy Holly and co-owner Cathy, took a trip to Driffield where he went home with his SECOND CC and another group shortlist - a repeat of his Crufts outing! What a time they're having together!

Cathy and Buddy had a fabulous time at the two days of IKC International! They took out the group both days, but even more incredible, under two more different judges, they smash out BEST IN SHOW BOTH DAYS!
An absolutely amazing weekend for #teamsoletrader over in Ireland that's for sure!
JUNIOR HANDLING ASSOCIATION 2018!
Our daughter Erin and her PBGV champion Sophie (Ch Around Zlightly Different with Soletrader) ventured to the ExCel in London to compete in the Junior Handling finals representing the 6-11 age group for the hounds. Being the youngest in the competition, she put up an incredible performance alongside other talented juniors but unfortunately no shortlist. We're very proud!

Scottish Kennel Club 2018 - a long journey from Oxfordshire but well worth the miles! Magic Mike takes his 20th CC, 19th group win, and 7th All-Breed BEST IN SHOW!
Then one weekend Scotland. The next, Bath! Another CC to add to his tally, another group win, and ANOTHER BEST IN SHOW for Mike and Sara, equalling his mothers record for BIS's!
Sophie (Around Zlightly Different with Soletrader) and her young handler and little Robertson, Erin, took 2nd in a big Open Bitch class, whilst Soletrader Beatrix Potter at her first show after just turning 6 months wins Minor Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy Bitch!
A return trip to Scotland, this time in beautiful Kelso where Mike takes his 9th All-Breed Best in Show - and therefore breaking his mother Jilly's record. Like mother like son!
Whilst his father was busy breaking records, Buddy takes another BIS-3 over in Ireland with co-owner Cathy!
WINDSOR 2018
It was another group win to add to Mike's tally on the first day of Windsor. In bright sunshine, he took out the breed under David Knights, and then upped his game in the group under Jenny Dove.
On the Sunday he returned and Robin Newhouse gave him another Reserve Best in Show!

One of the proudest Soletrader and parent moments.. our young daughter made up her first champion!
Sophie (Around Zlightly Different With Soletrader (Imp Swe)) gained her third and crowning CC under judge Miss Serena Parker at East of England Championship Show!
Magic Mike adds another CC and group placing to his books, whilst his daughter, Soletrader Beatrix Potter, went Best Puppy for the second week in a row, alongside another puppy group shortlist.

WHAT A PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS..!!
Magic Mike and Sara have smashed out another couple of BIS's - SKC, Bournemouth and Leeds can now be added to his tally, bringing his career to a total of 12 BIS's!!
Sophie and Erin can add a fifth CC and the new baby Beatrix has her first CC!
Across the pond, Mike's son Buddy Holly who is currently in Ireland with co-owner Cathy can also add more BIS's to his career!
Even further afield, Soletrader Chip N'Pin, recently in his new home in South Africa with Louis Kruger at the WhiteSquall kennel, won the CACIB, BOB, & Group 3 at his first show!

RICHMOND 2018 - A SOLETRADER WEEKEND!
Magic Mike takes ANOTHER BEST IN SHOW under highly respected judge, Mr Geoff Corish - the man of the moment who made Soletrader dreams come true at Crufts 2013 with Mike's mother Jilly!
Mike's current outstanding record so far includes:
- 27 CC'S
- 28 GROUPS
- 13 BEST IN SHOWS
He's slowly catching up to his mothers records, after previously overtaking her 8 Best in Shows earlier in the year!
Magic Mike's daughter, Beatrix Potter, enjoyed her time in the big ring following her father, and came home with RESERVE BEST PUPPY IN SHOW under Marion Waddell!

MAGIC MIKE GOES ONE BETTER!
Last year Magic Mike took Reserve Best in Show at the West of England Ladies Kennel Association. This year, he takes BEST IN SHOW under Hans van der Berg beating nearly 9000 other dogs. What a start this young man is having this year following on from his Top Hound 2017!

Buddy and Cathy smashed it out the park on May Bank Holiday weekend, taking out Group 6 both days, and BIS 4 on Saturday, and BIS 2 on Sunday. What a holiday he's having with his Irish co-owner!
BUDDY TAKES ON IRELAND
Following on from his BOB at Crufts, Buddy travelled to Ireland for a holiday with his co-owner Cathy Neill and topped Group 6 both days of his first weekend! Sunday he went straight to the top taking out Best In Show! We are so proud of both Cathy and Buddy for such an incredible start.
At the Combined Canine National and International shows in Ireland on Easter weekend, Buddy Holly campaigned as usual by Cathy, takes out the breed both days again, and adds another Group win and a second in group to his tally. At this point, this young lad is currently the clear leader of Group 6 - but it's still early days!
APRIL 14TH 2018.
The father-son duo in Magic Mike and Buddy Holly smashed it out of the park this weekend! Mike took Reserve Best in Show at Hound Association of Scotland under Pam Marson-Pollock, whilst over the water in Ireland, his son went Best in Show at the Portadown Canine Club!
